About Alan

Alan Kilpatrick, CD, BA, MLIS, is a library director and an information professional with experience in legal, government, and academic libraries.
With a proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders, he skillfully brings together information services, resources, and expertise to add value to his clients. He brings a wealth of fresh ideas and energy to information services.
Alan has a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vancouver Island University (History & English).
Alan is the Co-Director of the Law Society of Saskatchewan’s Legal Resources department. He has served on the Canadian Association of Law Libraries Board (Member-at-Large), Multitype Library Board (Special Library Director Representative), and the Saskatchewan Library Association Board (Member-at-Large).
